VALUES

WHAT MAKES ANCHOR US?

We Put Jesus First
Our church is about one person, Jesus. Our message is the good news of the gospel.

We Are Grace Giving
We are all on a journey and because of the cross, grace is a gift for everyone. This is the starting point for everything we do, and it's our mantra. We always want to be a church that is known for what we are for, rather than what divides us; that's grace. Grace drives out how we live and how we give as a church, because much has been given we passionately give.
We Live Generously
Our time, talents, and resources are given to us as a gift and we want to steward these gifts well. We believe we’re called to give sacrificially and practice generosity. When we live this way, we believe God then trusts us with more.
We Value Relationships
Jesus gives us one mission, to go into all the world and make disciples. This is is who we are striving to be as a community: a people who live out the good news of the gospel in every way. We have open homes and open lives because this is the example Christ set for us.
We Are Creative
We serve a creative God who formed us out of his likeness which in return means we are all creative. We value creativity and always want to be a environment that encourages people to use their gifts to glorify God.
We Are Fun
Church should be fun. Our church is next-generation-minded and values the youth and their energy. We want to enjoy life together and we want it to be fun.

BELIEFS

WHAT WE BELIEVE?

The Bible
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that people were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture.
2 TIMOTHY 3:16
God
We believe in one eternal and loving God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ (the Son of God) became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world. 1 CORINTHIANS 8:6
Humanity
We believe humanity was made in the likeness of God. But because of sin we were separated from God and his initial purpose for humanity. GENESIS 1:27, ROMANS 3:23
Salvation
We believe that through the death of Jesus Christ, on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as sufficient payment for their sin. We must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. ROMANS 6:23, 1 JOHN 1:9
Baptism
Jesus mandates his people to repent be baptized in water and filled with the Holy Spirit. MARK 16:16
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is Gods gift to his people left to speak, empower, and encourage his people, and through the Holy Spirit we receive spiritual gifts. ACTS 2:38, 1 CORINTHIANS 12
The Church
We believe that the church is still the hope of the world. We believe scripture encourages us to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the “breaking of bread.” We are not only a part of a local church body but a global church movement called to spread the good news of the gospel.       MATTHEW 12:21, ACTS 2:42
